Not your parents’ peanut butter and jelly

Students at Le Sueur-Henderson Middle/High School had the opportunity for a real treat on Feb. 18 when Taher executive chef Brian Renz prepared sushi for lunch.

 

Each year School District Food Director Jim Palm and Taher features special international cuisine to broaden students’ dietary horizons.

 

Along with sushi on Thursday, Friday’s menu featured a Japanese pork ramen noodle bowl.

 

Palm said the sushi rolls were such a hit Renz was put into fast-food mode to keep up with demand.
