New Recipes
We are
introducing more made from scratch recipes on our menus, and understand that trying something for the first
time can be pretty adventurous for children. In order
to help you encourage your child to try some of the new
recipes, we will post a description on menus and in the cafeteria as they are introduced.
Please share the information with them if they are worried
about trying something new. We appreciate your support
of our mission towards a healthier generation of children!

Nutritional Analysis
We have included a Nutritional Analysis of the Elementary
Menu. Parents can use this data to help students make the best choices for a well balanced diet,
and track nutrients.

The High
School Food Court is made up of six food stations where
students can purchase entrees which are considered a "lunch".
The food court caters to the majority of students by offering a
variety of popular food items each day. Some of our customers prefer
to eat the same type of foods each day, while others prefer to
move from station to station depending on what is offered that
day. Throughout the year, we evaluate menus and make changes based
on student demand. We always welcome your suggestions and requests
for new menu items, and will try to honor them. |

| Regional Chef Jay
Rommelfanger |
|
|
Taher Inc. is committed to providing the best in
fresh and wholesome food in each of the districts we serve. We
employ a team of Regional Chefs to help us with that goal, including
Chef Jay Rommelfanger who is assigned to New London Schools and our
other accounts in the Appleton Area. Chef Jay makes monthly
visits to introduce new creations from our Chef Council that
challenge students to try new types of foods. Students will
enjoy watching Jay prepare specials during lunch. This year,
expect to see new recipes from the Chef Council's trip to Vietnam!
Chef Jay also works with our food service
staff on developing new recipes that fit into our
Food 4 Life Menu. Students may also see Jay in the classroom
helping teachers with Food and Nutrition curriculum.
