New Food Service Director

Connie Smith has been hired by Taher Food Service to manage the lunch program at Northern Ozaukee School District starting this summer.  Most of you may know Connie as a parent with children here,  and one of the cooks in the kitchen for many years.  We are excited to have her on board and know she will do a great job making the program the best it can be for Ozaukee students!

Farm to School

  

Through a partnership with Badgerland Produce Co-op, we are pleased to be able to expand the use of locally grown fruits and vegetables in our lunch program. 

We expect to have at least one item on our Harvest of the Month featured fruit and vegetable that will be available through Badgerland.  They use small independent farms within Wisconsin to offer fresh from the farm quality and taste.  Any item from Badgerland will be delivered to us within 24 hours of the time it was picked, making it about as fresh as you can get!

Look for the apple logo on the menu to indicate the items we are sourcing through Badgerland.  We know you will appreciate the quality and freshness.
