Farm to School

  

Through a partnership with Badgerland Produce Co-op, we are pleased to be able to expand the use of locally grown fruits and vegetables in our lunch program. 

We expect to have at least one item on our Harvest of the Month featured fruit and vegetable that will be available through Badgerland.  They use small independent farms within Wisconsin to offer fresh from the farm quality and taste.  Any item from Badgerland will be delivered to us within 24 hours of the time it was picked, making it about as fresh as you can get!

Look for the apple logo on the menu to indicate the items we are sourcing through Badgerland.  We know you will appreciate the quality and freshness.

  In School Catering

 
Your school's Food Service Department is a great way for teachers, secretaries and administrators to provide meals for functions throughout the school district, without having to worry about picking it up, or paying high prices for an outside caterer,

We would be happy to provide you with a Catering Menu of ideas, or work with you on a special menu for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.  We can  provide everything from a plate of cookies, to a white tablecloth dinner buffet.  We can even prepare Box lunches and Grab n Go items delivered to your meeting room.  Contact Jenni Stricker, Food Service Director for details 414-371-7045 or: jstricker@bdsd.k12.wi.us .

We prepare a quarterly newsletter that outlines changes to your Food Service Program.  A copy is sent home with each elementary and middle school student, but you can click on the link below to view or print the most recent newsletter.
