Shorewood School District Food Service
It has been proven that students need good nutrition to feed their minds and bodies, which enables them to learn while in school. Our goal is to provide high quality, safe, and healthy meals to every Shorewood student while providing the best customer service possible.

Payments

Nutrikids is the computerized prepayment system for school meals in our district. Students use a pin number to access their family account in the lunch line. Each child in your family has a separate account, however you can make one payment regardless of the number of children enrolled in the district. Nutrikids is a declining balance system, similar to a checking account. Money must be in the account in order to purchase lunch, extra milk or a la carte items. There is no maximum amount that you can pre-pay, and there are options that make it easy for you to keep track of your family account and make payments.

If you have any questions regarding payments, please contact Hillary Sanders at

Online Payments  Electronic payments can by made by Credit Card, Debit Card, or directly from your Savings or Checking Account,  into your student's account via a secure web site.  By clicking on the "Make a Payment Online" button,  you can register for this service at any time.  If you choose to pay by credit or debit card there is still a fee of $1.75.

Payment Procedures  Payments may be sent with your children, to their respective school or mailed directly to the Food Service office, to: Hillary Sanders, Food Service Dept. 1701 E. Capitol Drive, Shorewood WI 53211. Checks should be paid to the order of Shorewood School Foodservice.   Please write your student's first and last name on your check to ensure that it will be deposited in the correct account.

It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to maintain a positive balance in the student's account. We strongly encourage weekly or monthly payments to your child's account.  When payment has been received, your child will have an account balance in the computerized prepayment system.  Each child's name is in our system and there will be an account balance established for the purchase of hot lunch, ala carte items at SIS/SHS, extra milk, juice and bottled water.

Atwater and Lake Bluff Schools: If your child forgets his/her lunch money, we will debit their account only up to three lunches.  School District Policy states that no child's account can be utilized with a balance below -$6.90.  Please keep a balance in your child's account so they will not be denied a lunch.

Students who receive free or reduced price meals have the same lunch options as students who pay full price, however A la Carte snack items are not included with lunch.  All students who purchase a la carte items on account are charged full price, regardless of whether they receive free or reduced price meals. Parents should discuss purchasing guidelines with their children in advance to prevent unwelcome charges to their account.
