During “Fitness Fever Month” at Sunrise River Elementary School, students collected 1,395 pounds of food for the North Branch Food Shelf.
In addition to collecting for the food shelf, the focus of the month was for students to strive to eat five fruits and five vegetables each day and exercise for a total of 60 minutes every day. As a reward for their efforts, students got to have a “beach party day”!
Monday, where they spread blankets down on the cafeteria floor, where they ate their lunch. Many students also dressed in their best summertime gear. Here, students see how low they can go while doing the limbo in the cafeteria.
