Recipe: Tres Leches
- 6 each Eggs, separated
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, Sifted
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 14-ounce can Evaporated milk
- 1 14 ounce can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. To make cake, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour pan.
2. In a mixer, beat egg whites till soft peaks form
3. Add sugar gradually until stiff peaks form.
4. Add egg yolk one at a time
5. Sift flour and baking powder together and add to egg mixture
6. Add vanilla and bake for 25 minutes
8. To make cream, blend evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk and milk
9. Remove cake from oven and pour milks over the cake while still warm-Chill Over Night
10. Make topping-Whip cream till firm peaks form and add sugar and vanilla. Spread on cake
11. Finish by sprinkling cinnamon on top, but just lightly!
Marinated Berries
- 1/2 pint Raspberries
- 1/2pint Blueberries
- 1/2pint Blackberries
- 1 cup Strawberries- cut in half
- ¼ cup Simple Syrup
- 1T Triple Sec
Mix all ingredients gently and let marinate 1 hour.
